WHO IS R.A.B?!

I cannot wait to figure THAT out.

Anyhow, I think Harry is going to cry. And I am going to let out the waterworks. Because... I am an HP obsessive.

JK Rowling said more than one main character is going to die.

Shocked

EDIT// Oh yes. She has also said the last word of the book is "scar". And there will be no Quidditch. Victor Krum will make an appearance.

i think i know who R.A.B is!

don't read this if you don't want to know!

i am reading the fifth right now (for the second time) and sirius says that he has a brother named regulus. regulus black. also, he mentions his dad's name, which is starts with an "a". he says that his brother was killed by voldemort (or one of his followers) because he was a death eater and then realized he was wrong and wanted to get out. so, it may sound far-fetched, but i don't think he's dead. i think he knew about the horcuxes from being a death eater and he went out and has been finding them.

i don't know... it sounds logical to me. i kind of hope i'm worng though, i don't want to know who it is....

^yup your right. apparently according to a facebook group it is reguls balck becuase black is translated to the corresponding letter depending on the language of the book.

oh wow.. i'm so excited for this book. but what i'm thinking is that snape will prove himself to be good, and die to save harry. of course... hopefully jk will end it in a way that there can't be another book, and harry doesnt die. i almost don't want to read it... i can't believe that it's going to be all over.

As much as I don't want it to happen, I think Harry's going to die. Voldemort's gonna die too, but I think the process will kill Harry.

I just finished reading all six books again, (I was hoping I was going to finish all six books by July 21st.... but failed) and I'M convinced that Snape's bad. I dunno, this is MY OPINION. I feel sorry for Draco, even though he's such a prat. >=T I wonder what's going to happen to him, since he didn't kill Dumbledore...

I'm seriously obsessed right now with Harry Potter, (according to my sister and friends.... because I've been reciting some incantations for no apparent reason (IE: 'Wingardium Leviosa!' Very Happy)) and I've been making daily visits to Mugglenet. I read a little article about a returning character in the seventh book, and that's when I noticed him on the cover!!!!!! (UK edition) I don't care if you guys noticed it when they showed the cover of the 7th book, but I just noticed now, and that thing behind Harry is SOOOO Kreacher!!

La la la... I seriously can't wait for the book to be released!! Is anyone going to go to the midnight release? Hopefully I can find someone to go with!! Very Happy And I also can't wait to see Harry and the Potters! I like listening to their music.. hehehehe. Makes me laugh when I'm listening to it on my iPod on the bus..

BTW: How do you pronounce 'horcruxe'???????????

^you really have to read all of them. Hallows answers a lot of questions, and you probably won't recognize half of the characters.

Basically.... I cried at the end. Bawled for chapters, no joke.

Just finished it, too.

It whizzed by me in a few parts. But it was good.

It's really tough to talk about it without spoiling. I wish there was a "spoiler" BBtag in this forum like other forums.

CHAPTER 33.
I WAS RIGHT ABOUT HIM ALL ALOONG. I KNEW HIM AND DUMBLEDORE PLANNED DUMBLEDORE'S DEATH. I KNEW THAT WAS PATRONUS.
I KNEW HE WAS GOOD SINCE THE FIRST BOOK AND NO ONE BELIEVED ME D: AND THEN HE DIES. THANKS FOR KILLING MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER, JK ROWLING >=O

Wow though. The fact that he wanted Harry to look at him before he died so he could see Lily's eyes before he died just killed me though. Snape is probably the best character ever, most amazing enigma I've ever read about. He kept everoyne guessing till the end.

And killing Fred was harsh. Imagine George growing old without him =(

The epilouge was the lamest thing in the world. Asides from the phrase "Mum! We can't give a proffessor love!" (Neville is a god in my boooks), and when Harry tells Albus Severus that one of the people he named him after was a Slytherin and he was the bravest man Harry knew. That to me just sort of exclaims that whatever house you're in doesn't matter, because even though Gryffindor is for the brave, the bravvest man he knew was a Slytherin.

OMg.... I didn't really like the epilogue.... -.- I was hoping for a bit more info about the trio after HOgwarts.

I SOOOO knew that Snape had a thing for LIly!!! Very HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery Happy I0nno if it was just me, but there was soemthing int he 6th book that kind of forshadowed it. But holy smokes, I was proven wrong about how he's bad. I was pretty stumped about the patronous though.... well, until the end.

I can't believe sooo many people died in the book.... I mean, Tonks and Lupin?!?!? ) : I liked Tonk's Very Happy

I've been busy with school and work, so I haven't been able to re-read the book again.. ) : I've only read it once.... so I may have missed some points. For example, how did the Potters defy Voldemort three times? And which character performed magic? And was it the fact of Harry not being in his life Dudley's worst thought or whatever when the dementors almost performed the kiss on him?

xD yeah I didn't like the epilogue either. I wanted to know how everyone ended up, and maybe hang out like in the olden days!!!

O: I have a new found respect for Snape. He bumped up to one of my favourite characters in just one chapter!

i was so surprised about the book, haha.

but i did kind of have a feeling that the whole snape killing dumbledore thing had more to it. and i thought it was SOOO CUTE that he loved lily potter and they both had the same patronus =].

the epilogue, to me, seemed a bit messy. like i had to read it more than once to grasp a general understanding... maybe jk rowling was in a rush to write it... lol.

but overall, i think i'm decently pleased with the book. though some of the parts where they just stayed in that tent and pretty much walked around "looking" for horcruxes was dragged on wayyy to long and i think i nearly died of boredom.

i am still very sad about DOBBY AND FRED WEASLEY! and lupin and tonks... i hate how they left behind little teddy... :icon_wrong:

^I think that was Voldemort. It says later on after Harry took the killing curse that both Voldemort and Harry became unconcious. So both of them would have been 'transported' to King's Cross in Harry's mind. I think since Voldemort's soul was so twisted and shattered he could only be present as the ugly, helpless baby.

I cannotttttt wait for last two movies! I keep replaying the books in my mind, trying to figure out how the movies will turn out. I'm soooo excited!

I really, really loved this book. I think Rowling did a good job with it, it was so interesting and so satisfying to see all the loose ends tied up, everything explained.. I'm really sad it's over, but it was good ending.

And I dunno, I really hated the epilogue, I wish it wasn't there. I found it really cheesy and unecessary, the way she ended it before the epilogue was satisfying enough to me (in my opinion at least).

She had me completely fooled about Snape, and I'm so sad that Dobby and Fred and Tonks and Lupin and Mad-Eye died... what's George gonna do without Fred?? And Hermione and Ron are freaking PERFECT for each other!! The epilogue wasn't that great though. I wish it just had an "aftermath" chapter like the other books did. But either way, it was awesome.

I loved it. I'm so sad it's over... Sad :icon_wrong:

ugh. the epilogue was SO cheesy, but it was better than just ending the book when he was 17 i guess. i mean, she had to do it, espically since she's not planning on writing anymore harry potter books. and that sort of limits somebody else, if they decided to write to sequel to the series..

ah but i hope she has another series or book already cooked up because that'd be awesome! she'd better keep writing!!

I FINALLY got my hands on a copy of this book yesterday (lol!) and I finished it at 3:00am this morning. Very Happy

Oddly enough, this book is one one of my favourites out of the entire series. I totally expected it to be lacklustre (no offence!) like OotP and THBP. :P I was, and still am, very pleasantly surprised.

I'm a tad groggy right now after sleeping so late SO I'll keep this short ;)_orange
GAHHHHHHH! I cried so hard when Dobby died.... it was just so sad Crying or Very sad
I feel the pain and fear of death very acutely (i'm sure many of you know why) so all the deaths that occurred in the book really pierced my heart deeply.
In short...Poor Fred+George..and Lupin+Tonks..and of course Dobby+MadEye. I was REALU thrilled though when Crabbe's Fiendfyre destroyed the diadem! haha. and I laughed so hard when Trelawney dropped her crystal balls on the Death Eaters like bombs. Very Happy
