okay, so I wear flip flops all the time, and I need to buy a pair of flats in black and white -- because I'm not able to wear my flops at work. Anyways, I need ideas of what time of flats to buy, so post your favourites here. I love the juicy couture ballet flats, but they are too pricey - so Im just looking for ideas.

thanks.

I gotta say check out Aldo-they reign when it comes to nice and fairly affordable (most are around $40-60) flats.

Aldo has tons of cute flats on their site: www.aldoshoes.com

And so does Transit/Spring: www.myspringshoes.com

You should also check out Joe (available at Loblaws Superstore), they have those simple patent ballet flats for about $16 I think. And Urban Outfitters is a great place for cute flats too.

^^ Yeah, I have a pair of polka dotted AE flats. I wear them almost everyday to school or whatever because they're really casual. The first time I wore them though, it hurt SO much but now, it's the more comfortable/casual flats I have. Check out AE if you want a more casual look and places like Aldo (they have some fancier and casual, cute ones too), Nine West (a bit pricier), and Zara has really nice, cute flats as well.

I have a pair of black Nine West leather flats, and they are the amaaazing flats ever! They are super comfortable, unlike how some flats can be. Compared to Aldo, they are so much better so I think it's worth the price because the quality is a lot better.

I bought a pair of black flats last year from Aldo and I wear them all the time, I got so much use out of them!! And then I wanted a pair of white ones for summer so I bought a pair that is very similar to them from aldo too. Seriously you can not go wrong with Aldo flats.

http://www.aldoshoes.com/eng/storeSection/redirect.cfm?sectionID=b2c/style/productDetails.cfm&itemID=64139116&&var=d&ckey=CA

I got those ones, except in white.

some people on here say no
other people say yes
so maybe i should just ask the sales people?

^If you mean "AE" as in American Eagle Outfitters, then no. The Payless ones are just "American Eagle", not "American Eagle Outfitters", so they're basically two different brands.

I got my flats from Off the Wall (they're just simple black ones with a bow), for like, 30 dollars I think? Not bad, and they've done really well so far, pretty comfy and haven't broken down or anything.

But flat-wise, what I'm REALLY pining for is a pair of white Chanel quilted leather ballet flats. I first saw them in an issue of Teen Vogue and I just fell in love with them Happy

Yeah "American Eagle" (payless version) came out last year I think? But it has nothing to do with American Eagle Outfitters (the logo and everything is different).

^^Nope, "American Eagle" at Payless has nothing to do with "American Eagle Outfitters". Like I said, they're two different brands.

I think if you want flats for the new school year, buy them as soon as you can right now, because it's gonna hurt when you wear them right when school starts, because you need to break them in. some shoes like my old keds, always hurt

I have a pair of the flats tropical_pink posted and they are the best shoes I have ever bought! I bought them in January and they lasted me throughout second semester and the summer, and they're still going. However the rubber is coming off the toes a little bit so I replaced them for this school year.

I got a cute grey one from Aeropostale. but the quality is...ehhh.
if you want good quality ones, try Aldo. Spring has okay quality depending on the type of flats.

well it's rainy season now (and it's getting pretty cold!) I think you should invest in some really nice water-proof shoes, or boots or something because flats getting wet = naasty =(
