Hi, i couldnt find a specific topic on this so sorry if it's already been mentioned >.<

ok so i have a pretty small chest (34A and it barely fills out), a pretty flat butt, and a few inches of fat on my belly (minor love-handles). i'm wondering what can i do to decrease the fat on my belly while KEEPING the fat on my chest and butt. I'm afraid to do cardio because you can't really target fat loss, so if i lose the fat in my belly, the fat decreases EVERYWHERE else too and that means an even SMALLER chest. I heard that doing sit-ups/non-cardio workouts doesnt do anything to decrease the fat, it just strengthens the muscles UNDERNEATH the fat.

so anyone, please help!! what can i do to get rid of belly fat while not losing fat anywhere else?

I think crunches only help to a certain degree. For the lower stomach try doing inclined (? I think that's what they're called) crunches. Google them or lower stomach exercises or something.

but that doesnt get rid of the layer of fat that's already there...it'll strengthen the muscle and CAN make it look even bigger because of the added muscle under the fat...

^That's not exactly true. Happy Yes, fat cannot actually be "burned off" with exercise. The only way to truly get rid of fat would be liposuction. What exercise does is "burn out" or starve fat cells so that they shrink. Basically you try to use up as much of their stored energy that you can (through exercise) so that the fat cells are "overexerted" and shrink.
Therefore, by strengthening the muscles underneath the fat, the muscles will burn energy and in doing so will starve the fat cells on top of it.
Think of it this way:
- Fat is a form of stored energy that your muscles use.
- Muscles need energy to perform.
- Exercising your muscles requires energy.
- The more you exercise your muscles, the more energy they need.
- The more energy your muscles need, the more energy they draw away from the fat cells.
THUS if you exercise your muscles that will cause them to draw energy away from the fat. The fat cells will then shrink and you will slim down, not look bigger.

Contrary to common belief, you can target certain areas of your body to tone. However, to be most effective, exercise and toning should be combined with cardio.
I know you're concerned about your boobs shrinking. That's why you must exercise in moderation and in a balanced manner. Remember, bust size is affected by genetics. Your bust will continue to grow as long as you stay healthy and let your body mature normally (i.e. don't starve yourself and work-out excessively).

Something interesting to note: you can work-out and build certain muscles look fuller in certain areas while working-out other muscles to make look trimmer in other areas.
1) Your pectoral muscles underneath your boobs can be worked-out to make your boobs look somewhat perkier and (for some people) even larger. You can't actually increase the size of your boobs unless you gain weight overall. **
2) Your glutes (butt muscles) can definitely be worked-out to achieve a rounder, more toned, less flat butt. **
3) Your abs can be slimmed down so that fat is minimized (but not depleted).*
To achieve 1), 2) and 3) you need different METHODS of working-out.
** --> do fewer reps but with heavier weights
this builds bigger muscles so you look fuller. body builders use this method but you won't end up looking like them unless you go overboard ;)_orange
* --> do many/more reps with light weights
this builds long lean muscles that make you look slim and be strong

REMEMBER! Eat HEALTHILY! Watch calories, don't count them religiously. 1000 useless calories from unhealthy food is WORSE than 1500 calories from healthy nutritious food. Happy
Check out the internet for tons of other good tips. Avoid "miracle pills" though eh? :P
