Should I try out?

Hey everyone!

I'm leaving high school, and in fall, I wonder if I should try out for the volleyball team at my new school.

The thing is, I've never been on the volleyball team, and I don't really have technique or whatever, and the teams are AA and AAA. But, as you may remember, I'm really tall (6 feet) so that may play up for me.

Should I try out or not? I really would love being on a sports team!

Try out! What do you have to lose? Even if you don't make it, atleast you'll have tried, while if you don't try out, well, it'll probably annoy you and you'll keep asking yourself: would I have made it?

Why not play volleyball this summer, on a recreational team. You'll see if you really love it and you'll also learn a bit of techique.

are you talking about trying out for university volleyball? or highschool?

either way, give it a shot. you never know. I'm sure the tryouts would be fun anyways, you'd meet new people even if you didn't make the team. And there's always intramurals, as well.

^ Well, I'm from Quebec, so it's not university, it's CEGEP. And I haven't thought about that, there is intramural, too...

Well, thanks girls! I'll try out. The least that can happen is that I'm not chosen, right? And I'll get to meet people. Happy

Maybe take some summer courses to improve your skills. But yeah, what harm ccan trying out do you?
