or you could just try putting ice on,
for a while, and it takes the redness out. |

| Dab a little bit of rubbing alcohol on it. It'll dry the pimple out and make it shrink. |

But won't the skin around it be dry afterwards? | melodramatica wrote: | | Dab a little bit of rubbing alcohol on it. It'll dry the pimple out and make it shrink. |

i read this in a magazine
1. never ever touch/pop the zit, it'll slow the process of healling
2. put ice on it for 5 mins
3. use eye drop for reddenning on the zit
4. wash face with non oily face wash and mosturizer
5. use light concealer on top |

GOODDD LUCK |

Yeah, if you dab it on and AROUND the pimple . That's why you only dab it on the pimple, lol. And yeah, the skin will be a little dry but it goes away.. at least it won't scar. |

I use panOxl, it works really well...though if you put on too much it can dry the skin around the pimple.

Erm...apparently, you shouldn't use rubbing alcohol because it strips the skin of it's natural oil causing it to produce more...which leads to more zits. _________________ ...DArk duCKY..

Think about it, the pimple is already oily, and you're not putting it on the skin around it. Also, if you do it over night when you wake up it should be mostly gone and you can do your regular face rountine, which probably includes moisturizing. |

I've heard that before... Visen. Ben Stien says its "Clear eye for the Red eye." or something like that. _________________

Visine is a great idea to help reduce redness, though it won't help to heal the pimple itself.
If it's a cystic pimple [one of those awful ones that hurt when you touch them and feel like there's like .. liquid .. inside], try something with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide in it to get rid of it. Clean & Clear Persa Gel 5 always works for me .. it gets rid of them really quickly, and it's really cheap. Fashion18 was actually what introduced me to this product, and I've been using it for like 3 years. There other spot treatments with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid in them too. Check reviews first to make sure it's not overly drying or useless. Tea tree oil spot treatments have worked for a lot of people, I've tried it myself but Persa Gel 5 works better for me. You can get tea tree oil from places like Shoppers Drug Mart or even supermarkets though .. just apply it to the pimple itself [not all over your face, unless you dilute it first or it'll dry your face out and your skin will product an excess amount of oil to compensate, which will result in more pimples].
As your pimple is about to go away, make sure you put some Polysporin on it to prevent it from scarring so you don't get a dark spot on your face. |

BEST ADVICE: go to your doctor and they can prescribe medication specific for the TYPE of pimples you have. Why go through high school looking like a volcano exploded... 100 times?!?! _________________ shine by design

| The clinique spot treatment is AMAZING, you put it on a few times a day and it goes on clear so you can wear it under make-up, and it is gone by the next day. |

I don't get pimples very often, but I heard that if its super red you can take an advil or an aspirin and it will reduce the redness.
And I've heard a lot of good things about putting just plain white Colgate toothpaste to dry it up! Hahaha. |
