I'm not a dress person, but I decided to give it a go and try on this really cute dress at Off the Wall today. Unfortunately, instead of hitting in the middle of my knees where I thought it would, it touched just above my knee.
I'm not so loving towards my legs-I have larger thighs so when a dress/skirt hits just above my knee there's a little bulge Sad My friend told me to get cropped leggings to cover up the small area I'm self-conscious of, but I was thinking....will wearing cropped leggings only emphasize the size of what they're covering?

If you get black leggings, then it might cover up the small bulge. Black leggings would make you seem slimmer too. Your best choice would be to get patterned leggings because the strong print will draw attention away and hide the bulge (if that's what you want to cover). Preferably dark patterned leggings to make you look slimmer at the same time. Whatever you do, stay away from light coloured leggings, including white. You'll have to try on a pair of leggings with the dress to see how it looks though. Good luck!

But then again, if you get a really bold pattern on the leggings wont it draw attention because people would be looking? I think just plain dark leggings would would because it doesnt draw the eye there so people wont see your problem

^Yeah they'll be looking if the pattern is really bold, but the pattern itself will hide bulges and whatnot so even if they're looking at your legs, they won't see the bulge.

Hey girls thanks for the tips-in the end I went back on and tried the dress on and realized I do look good in it and I just need to get over that, I need to try and show off the fact I'm tall instead of trying to hide it Happy

I have to say I was confused about the bulge. Really glad you were able to see you for what you are. Sometimes it's hard to get over our insecurities. Enjoy the dress, summer's coming so you'll be able to get a ton of wear out of it.
