In honour of the VANCOUVER CANUCKS sealing the deal and becoming the Northwest Division Champions in San Jose tonight ( :icon_yahoo: :icon_wavetowel: whoooo!) I'm starting up an officiale NHL thread, yo!

edit: Will they play Luongo tmr?? 'Cause I remembered hearing about how they'll play Sabourin(sp?) in a few games if the Canucks clinch a playoff spot. Yet, in all the games since that time, it was always Luongo who started.
(Please correct me if I'm wrong, which I prolly am?)

I heard they want to play Sabby to give Louie a break (even though he IS > Superman, lol).
BUT it's a bit hard to say cuz they might want to give Louie a chance to tie with Brodeur's 48 wins? It's too bad he couldn't beat Brodeur altogether, LOL Very Happy

Yup, Sabs is starting tomorrow to give Louongo a rest. I think it's good and all because he does need his rest before the big playoffs!!!
I stay keep him rested over the record. Chances of getting the cup would be better!

Aw hopefully you don't have to study during the playoffs! It would be awesome if Sens faced the Nucks in the finals! If the Canucks didn't win, then I would be sad and happy because Senators are my 2nd favourite team.

We lost today but that's okay! We'll do so good on the playoffs. On Wednesday, I'm going to wear all of my Canucks stuff. Hat, jersey, shirt. Dallas, bring it on!! I'd much have Dallas as an opponent because I think we have a better chance to win over them than SJ! Razz

*sigh* I need Canucks gear! I have this oversized tee that my dad's friend bought me with the vintage logo but it's much to big... I want the hat Bieksa has... hmm i can't find a pic of it but it's black with the vintage logo

^I like the Habs/Canadiens better than the Leafs too. I was so sad when they lost their 2 goal lead and got knocked out Sad

Ah well, at least the Isles are in! Very Happy

^ You could probably check out Authentix (Gate 6 - GM Place) for the hat. They have tons and tons of different hats. The online shop and website for Authentix suck so they don't have it there.

Well, hopefully the Canucks make it past the 1st round and then there will still be games that you can watch!

What a nice goal by Pyatt today. Turco didn't even see it! 8)

I DO wish we can win in regulation though! And get off to a QUICK start in the 1st period. Rolling Eyes

BUT, a win is still a win. Near heart attacks in OT is nottt good.

^^My school tried to have just one Hockey Night a year or 2 ago but it ended up being a puckbunny (*shudders*) and jocks-who-think-they're-are-too-cool-cuz-they-watch-hockey fest..UGH. :icon_wrong:

I'm SO EXCITED! CANUCKS LEAD 2-1!!!
The first 2 periods were so hard to watch (I can only scream, "aww come on guys, GO!" so many times

) cuz the guys were taking so many dumb penalties! Plus most of the time they played like they were sleepwalking ..er sleep-skating ;)_orange

I ended up going to study for my finals (6 study days +3 EXAM DAYS TO FREEDOM!! :icon_yahoo:).
My dad and sis said the guys really stepped it up in the 3rd and OT so I'm very very glad Happy

Hopefully we can start Game 4 with the same fire! Very Happy

Some quick blabs:
- YAY NAZZY! Zee Capitan is baccccck! He's "been back" since G1 but I'm just SO HAPPY to see him back in great form.

- WTF #$%^ was up with that uncalled hit on Louie?!?!?!?! Damn Nagy. My dad and sis screamed-gasped and I ran to my T.V. to see what happened. My heart droppeddddddd to the ground BUT thank the LORDDDD Louie is tough! He proceeded to save our bacon (again..and again and again… Very Happy

) which is incredibly admirable. I love the guy and seriously can't imagine us without him! (actually I can..and it ain't pretty

- BULIS + HANSEN = YES YES YES!!!!
I didn't catch all the action but I saw some highlights this morning. They were fantastic!

8) so does that pretty much mean that we win them? because theres only two games left...and the one says 'if necessary' on the canucks website.

i was so happy when they scored the goals that i was literally jumping up and down. Very Happy

luongo played so awesome tonight and i loved it when mitchell just got the puck out of the net before it would've counted as a goal! :icon_yahoo: but everyone played great tonight. Happy
