have any of you guys picked up a fashion magazine lately? have you seen the stuff for spring? it's just so different than what we've been wearing in winter... there is a load more of metallics, and some of the trends include lots of plastic (clear plastic too) and just weird things that i wouldn't even touch right now. i guess it will take some getting used to, maybe it will grow on me. the one trend i think is easiest to handle though is the sporty look that's going on. it's cute. _________________

ahha, i dont know if i like all the spring trends yet. Ive seen a few, and they just dont seem pretty.
Somettimes it makes me wonder, the more ugly something is, the more fashionable

which is why I'm not following any of them!
the plastic bag thing is ridiculous, because I want the whole world to know what I carry around on a daily basis! I can see it if I was going to the beach, and I had a magazine, a towel and some sunscreen. _________________

yeah the whole plastic clear bag thing im not entirely fond of..i knew a girl back in elementary school who had a clear book bag..kinda trashy. but the whole athletic wear i like though im more of a girly girl. love metallics hate the robotics. so i guess i like some of the trends but i wont go all out in aluminum foil if you know what i mean. _________________

| this just proves how MINDLESS some people are, they just follow trends like sheeps. can't they think on their own? develope their own style? some people are basically forcing themselves to LIKE the trend. sad, sad, beings. |

| Ugh, I know, and even Sephora's makeup trend is "outerspace"-y. Uggggglyy! I hate this spring's trends, I think that for every spring it should be romance and chiffon and all that good stuff. :icon_thumbsup: |

blugh..i dont really like metallics or plastic..not looking forward to that..
when we go "futuristic" it doesnt always mean metallics and plastics..originality anyone? designers should be able to innovate better than that, so overdone. _________________ formerly known as rubbersoul |

| i like metallics in moderation. like, a pair of gold flats paired with jeans, or a funky headband - but i agree, you can't go over the top. its just too much! |

I honestly haven't read a magazine yet. How sad is that. But by the sound of it this spring and summer trends are going to be weirddddd. I ahven't really seen all this in stores though, and not everyone follows runway styles. So it's all good.
history buff, the cat in your signature looks just like my cat (who's in my avatar). just thought i'd point that out haha! _________________

The "futuristic" trend, I find, is really odd. I believe that the over-usage of metallics are too overpowering, and make you look robotic. However, I agree that metallics in moderation can make an outfit look really glam, in a good way.
Personally, although I am not too crazy about the "clear plastic" style, I saw this Dooney & Burke tote that looked so adorable! It would be perfect beach bag. But meh, I wouldn't get it. I really don't want people knowing what I carry in my bag.
One trend I do like though, is the babydoll, trapeze, and jumper dresses. They are so cute, and so perfect for spring/summer! I hope they last. :3 |

Metallics is alrite I think. It looks really good if you're going out for the night or just wearing a silver/gold heels with jeans. The plastic stuff, not really my thing. Like the plastic strawberry earrings and all. I like plastic rings though. |
