Mac+ Barbie?

Barbie Loves Mac
Friday, January 12, 2007

The spring collection inspired by the most fashionable doll in the world, Barbie. The collection includes Real Doll Light Lipstick (a bubblegum pink), Malibu Barbie Frosted Lipglass (a fuchsia with multicoloured pearl), Springtime Skipper Eyeshadow (a minty green with gold pearl) and Fashion Leader Glimmer Shimmer (a rich reddish bronze). Coming to a MAC counter in February.

i mean its pretty cute in a way but wat about those little girls who apply makeup at 10? o.O wouldn't they think its ok to buy makeup from mac cuz there's barbie on it? the spoiled ones can prob get money for it.

omg...that's so wrong in so many ways. kids should be kids. right now they're maturing way too fast, spending way too much, and are too damn spoiled.

shortiee: it's probably not aimed at little kids, anyways. when i was little, i ALWAYS liked makeup, clothes, and boys in that little kid kinda way ( i never went into a cooties stage :P ) i agree taht they're too spoiled and such now though.

The Chanel eyeshadow looks cool now but after a few uses it'll just look odd and bumpy ..

And as for the MAC collection, it's not directed towards kids, it's directed towards adults, but the Barbie idea is a "theme" for their collection. It's not actually directed towards kids who play with their Barbies, though we all know that there are little kids who'll want this stuff anyway because kids are growing up so quickly nowadays ..

They definitely look like Barbies. I'm not so fond of it yet... maybe it'll grow on me.. but I like more natural-looking make up.

It's pretty... but I don't think it'd be for me.

and the bit about the grade 2 girls shaving? that's just disturbingly horrendous in so many ways. i mean, okay, there's nothing to shave, but the very fact that they are is what scares me.

<bad joke>could they be hallucinating when they're shaving? thinking that there's hair there?</bad joke>

It's nice looking but not to wear on the street everyday. I try and avoid looking like a Barbie when applying my makeup usually...
