After handing in a CV, how do you follow up, what do you say when you call? AFter how many days would this be appropriate?

According to friends.... or from what I heard from planning (I forgot.. ><), you should wait at least two weeks? Not really sure though.... but that's how long I'd wait.

When you call, say who you are, and ask for the manager. ONce you get a hold of the manager, tell them that you handed in your CV, and was wondering if they had the chance to look at it. Tell them that you're really interested in the job and that you're available for an interview anytime.

That's what I did and say when I did a follow up. ( :

im completely clueless here...does a cv mean like a resumé? hehe i feel so stupid. :lol: Razz

and if it does mean a resumé, then should i go back to the store and ask about it? because on thursday (august 2nd, 2007), i went to the mall handing out some resumés and i reeeeally want to work at orange julius but they havent called me back. and i asked one of my friends who handed out her resumé before summer and she said that they called her for an interview the very next day. anyways, i'm going back to the mall this tuesday (august 14th, 2007) to give some stores more resumés and applications so i just want to know if i should go back to orange julius and ask if they looked at my resumé yet. thanks in advance for any help! ;)_orange
