Okay so I'm hoping someone out here knows a thing or two about plastering. Happy

I'm planning on scraping off all the little bumpy bits off my ceiling and then plastering and painting it. Only, I have no idea how to plaster, or what stuff to use. And I plan on doing this by myself, maybe with a bit of my brothers help.

Tips? Suggestions? Basic knowledge? Anything??

Well; I don't have a clue about it either, (Very Happy) but I looked up a few links for you:

hope this helps!

Thanks for the links. The middle one was pretty helpful. It looks like a lot of work which makes me wonder if I should even bother plastering and just find a different method.

Does anyone know how to fix small holes, scratches or ripped wallpaper on walls?

On City Line, I saw that you could spray water on your ceiling and scrape the little bitsy's off. Maybe those are different though?

If you have holes and such use plaster, sand it out then paint over it or whatever you wanna do with it

I didn't end up bothering with the ceiling. I think that would have been too much to take on my own.
For the walls with the ripped wall paper, knicks, etc. I just put plaster over it and sanded it down. It's just waiting to be painted.
