hey guys.. my prom is 3 weeks away, and I still have no idea where to do my makeup!
I know MAC does it, but eveyone says they put on toooooo much makeup. so I wont be going to mac.
do you guys know any other places that do a good job with makeup? and do you think they will do a free session, so I can see how I would look? and then go back there on prom day? |

I'll just name a few places/brands that do makeup...
-Visage
-NARS
-Stila
-MAC
-Clinique
-Sephora
I don't know which place is "better" (never been in this situation =[ no prom for me lol) but can't you just ask the MAC people to go light on the makeup? If you mean they put "a lot" of stuff by thinking of a primer and stuff like that, well, you need a primer anyway. Just ask them to go light on the makeup. The $40 minimum purchase + free mu application doesn't hurt either. _________________ I have bad news. I got a girl pregnant. WHAT?!?! |

| funny thing because my prom is coming up soon too and i thought about it myself and decided to do my own makeup.. instead i went out today to buy some things.. i got a mac primer because i think its one of those items many ppl dont have and it will guarantee ur makeup will stay on thru ur special night.. and i bought some mac eyeshadows... look at the pricing as well.. mayb u rather buy the stuff n do it urself and then u can go as light/exreme with the makeup as u want... |

I went to Clinique - they were pretty good.
Although I have heard that MAC does go heavy on the makeup, since they are your makeup artist just make sure they have a good idea of what you want. I don't think when it comes down to it one makeup brand is necessarily better for applying makeup than others, you just have to be specific about what you want. Bring pictures (I did) so they'll have visuals and know what kind of makeup you want for your face, otherwise it would be difficult to know if you guys are on the same page.
Plus, at any point it's fine to be like, "I actually don't like that". My friend went to MAC and she hated her makeup and told them to redo it (which they did). |
