bah humbug my hair is the same way. it's so thin! it drives me insane. actually it's fine, cause thin is when you have like no hair (thinning of the hair, that old people get). my hairs just realllll skinny! i guess. anyway i got some layers it poofed my hair up a bit. well not poof. but it added volume. i straighten it too, it looks ok. and my side bangs i think make my hair look more voluminous. also, try blow drying your hair cause if you just let it dry it will be flat, and another tip is not to let it get too long or it will just look stringy. try scrunching like the other girls said, that works too!
