Okay, so I work at this store, but it's kind of far from where I work. The perks of working there is that it gets dead a lot, but we still get good business; the manager is a family friend, so it's a bit easier working there; and the store hours are pretty good (we open later than stores in the mall, and close earlier.) The downside is that it's far, and my friends don't work nearby.
We have a another store in a mall that's closer to home. (NOTE: to get to either place, I take the same bus, and it's only one bus) My friends are working in the same mall, and the store is like, really close to each other.
If I transfer to the mall location, then I'll be with my friends, and I may be able to fit in a few more hours per week. Also, it'll be closer to home.
However, the downside is that it'll get a bit more busier (which I don't really mind), and closing and opening would be later and earlier. In addition, I don't know if my pay will change, cause yeah.. :S
Christmas season is coming up, and I kind of want to fit more hours. I'd be able to work shifts after school if I transfer to the mall, but then I want it temporarily for the season. Also, a few other friends are thinking about applying for a seasonal postion int he same mall, so I don't know what to do.
Any suggestions as to what I should do? |

I think you should first ask if there are any openings in the other location, if anything. If there aren't, well.. not much you can do then. At least you know.
If there are, ask if you can get transfered on the basis that it's closer to home and you'll be able to work more during the holidays. See if you're allowed to transfer back when holidays are over if you want....
...hrm. Not sure what to suggest. |
