Hey welcome to the new forum!

You might know me as xox-bella-xox in the old forum but i decided to keep it simple.

Anyways for christmas i got an amazing sewing machine, since i have always wanted to sew some of my own stuff. Does anyone have any tips on sewing a halter/tent like dress? heres a link to a pic of one i want it to look like sort of:

This is kind of off topic actually no totally off topic. LOL! I got one for christmas too. So far I made a headband and a top. I think I am going to buy some more material.

That TeenVogue link doesn't take me to a picture of a dress. As for making the dress find a pattern and follow it. And taking a class will help too.

well id go out to your fabric store and buy a pattern..if its your first time sewing youd probably be best buying a "simplicity" pattern because those are pretty straightforward and are easy to follow!! good luck! if you buy something difficult like a vogue pattern you might get stuck, the directions are very tricky Razz
