I only have one pair of leggings~ ONE. they're black ones, lacy on the bottom but whenever I wear it, my mom says, "your thighs are too big, they look transparent!"

Now it's not transparent like pantyhose or anything, to me it's not really noticeable (though I can see it...) but now I'm self conscious about it and afraid to wear the $20 leggings! ):

What I wear leggings with is really short skirts, so I don't use them in replace of pants...

So should I buy new ones in a bigger size? : P or strut my stuff?

If you're wearing them with skirt and minidresses, I'd say no, as long as you don't see them become transparent, like you can see the colour of your skin under them.
Strut!

I personally dont like any of the leggings that are transparent even in the least bit, so I would probably just buy a different pair. I dont think that a size up would help all that much, but I think a different brand would.

What do you think of them? If you like them wear them, but becareful if they really are transparent. If they are you mightaswell size up or buy a new pair from a different brand like ^ said

Just be careful about sizing up because I've seen some girls wearing leggings that are a little too big for them and it looks really bad (they bunch up in places).

^Check out stores like American Apparel (around $30), Aritzia (around $20)...I have a pair from Gap too (around $20), and they're super comfy! Leggings from Aritzia & AA may probably seem a bit expensive compared to other stores (like Costa Blanca, UB etc.) but they'll probably hold up a lot better.

^^Yes, even though they are more expensive, it is worth it. They are not sheer AT ALL, and they hold up really nice.

i bought a pair of leggings from urban planet for 12.50 and i love them because they're totally non sheer but not thick either. they're 58% cotton, 37% polyester, 5% spandex. and the price was totally reasonable too Happy

i personally would definitely go for the tna or talula leggings, especially the tna ones because of the long waistband for comfort nice and cozy, and the fact that if you ever decide that they're too long you can cut them. and they dont become transparent ! i bought a pair of leggings from urban behavior and they definitely did NOT last me very long, after a few washes they started having little pillings on them. so go for a pair thats actually worth your money Happy and by the way, who cares what your mom says, STRUT ! Very Happy

^ I wash my leggings in one of those garment safe bags (I'm afraid of pilling and it being stretched) and it doesn't pill. however, I don't wear them too often so I haven't needed to wash them many times.
I suppose if you intend to wear them very often it's better to get a "good quality" pair. personally I don't wear leggings a lot so I figured $30 leggings wasn't worth my money.

i saw some black leggings for $15 at Fair Weather
they're 2 for $20 if you're thinking of buying another one
They stop at your calves but they are not lacy.
The ones i have are from Gap and they are not transparent.
Maybe check what the materials are because the leggings i have is 100% cotton they are also black with lace on the bottom =P
